Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Around 2,000 US Jobs – News

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm intending to disclose all specifics during its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.

Prior news stated the firm was looking to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, the organization had about 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 project-based staff.
